Suns broadcast listed Al Horford on injury report as old

The Phoenix Suns broadcast had a hilarious – and maybe slightly mean – reason for Al Horford being listed on the OKC Thunder injury report.

The Phoenix Suns broadcast turned a little literal with its injury report when the team played against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night, and it might’ve been a little bit mean.

The Banner Health Health Update on the Bally Sports Phoenix broadcast listed the Thunder players who were out with injury. Al Horford’s affliction? “Old.”

This hilarious graphic was aired on the screen during the game. It listed the Suns players who were out (or questionable, in Torrey Craig’s case) and some of the Oklahoma City players who were not playing (this screenshot, posted by SixersWire reporter Ky Carlin, was missing Darius Bazley and Mike Muscala).

Horford is technically out because of his age, but at 34, he’s not missing these games because he’s on his last legs.

The Thunder shut Horford down as they aim to evaluate younger players and get closer to the top of the draft lottery. The center, who was acquired from the Philadelphia 76ers this offseason, played well for Oklahoma City and has revived some trade value. The Thunder will look to trade him this offseason.

They should be able to find a partner for Horford, who looked revitalized this season. That is, unless other teams are afraid he’s old.
