Sunday Hash: Pat Dooley’s late brunch after dicey Florida win vs. USF

Pat Dooley serves up this edition of Sunday Hash scattered, smothered and covered… just like the Gators were on Saturday night.

It was a different night in the Swamp for Florida’s third game of the season with an opponent that wasn’t close to being ranked and a crowd that was left wondering where this season is going.

Florida won 31-28 but to say they didn’t cover the spread would be an understatement. The Gators came in a 24.5-point favorite according to many oddsmakers and left with only a three-point victory.

Where this season goes from here is anybody’s guess now that the blueprint for slowing down [autotag]Anthony Richardson[/autotag] is out there for anybody to see. And the defense also began to show the porosity we saw last year under the previous regime. It was déjà vu all over again on Saturday night in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

This edition of Sunday Hash looks back on an evening to remember… or forget. Let’s take a look at how the narrow win breaks down.
