In Summer Olympics Men’s Soccer Group A action Sunday, France and South Africa play in a 4 a.m. ET kickoff at Saitama Stadium. Below, we preview the France vs. South Africa odds and lines, and make our best Summer Olympics bets, picks and predictions.
France was drummed 4-1 by Mexico in its opening match. Veteran Andre-Pierre Gignac registered the lone goal on a penalty kick conversion for Les Bleus.
South Africa played the host-nation Japan tough in the group play opener, falling 1-0. GK Ronwen Williams couldn’t contain Japan’s Takefusa Kubo, as he notched the lone goal for Samurai Blue. It was still a nice defensive effort for South Africa.

Prediction
France 2, South Africa 0
Money line (ML)
France (-550) is looking for the bounce-back game after getting crushed in its Olympic opener. Les Bleus will struggle to find open space but should be able to notch a goal in the first half.
I think France gets the second goal in the second half, making the CORRECT SCORE of FRANCE 2-0 (+525) the top play on the alternate lines.

Over/Under (O/U)
UNDER 2.5 (+125) is a little risky, as France has the potential to open it up against South Africa.
The latter showed outstanding defense against a decent Japanese side and will be looking to play a possession game by keeping it away from Les Bleus. South Africa should be able to slow it down enough for the Under result.
