Fans were hoping that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League would come out this year, but it probably isn’t anymore.
A Bloomberg report claims that Warner Brothers has moved Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s release date to sometime in 2023. It comes as a surprise since the recent Game Awards trailer suggests development is pretty far along. Neither developer Rocksteady Studios nor publisher Warner Brothers commented on this, so the release date may still be up in the air.
Batman: Arkham VR, the last game from Rocksteady Studios, came out back in 2016. So it’s somewhat unfortunate that we probably won’t be playing Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League sooner.

As with everything in life, good things often come to those that wait. Many hugely delayed games turn out great, so Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League staying in the oven for another year isn’t necessarily bad news. Disappointing? Sure! Better to deliver something great rather than end up as another Cyberpunk 2077.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League being a four-player co-op shooter is new territory for Rocksteady Studios too. Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City are irrefutable proof that the developer knows how to make great action games. So let’s just trust the studio’s judgment if this delay turns out to be true.
