Nets head coach Steve Nash is more than happy to roll through 2020-21 with the group he currently has in Brooklyn.

Steve Nash revealed on Tuesday that Mike D’Antoni’s focus in Brooklyn will be primarily on the offensive end on the floor. Of course, the ex-Rockets head coach has shown with me than one franchise that he can help players put up points in flurries.

And while it seemed at one point like D’Antoni might not only be reunited with Nash and Amar’e Stoudemire from his days as Phoenix’s head coach as the idea of James Harden coming to Brooklyn turned into a possibility, those talks appear to have come to a halt.

Which is totally fine with Nash.

“As far as the Harden rumors, I don’t know,” the Nets head coach said when asked about the rumors on a Zoom cal Tuesday. “That’s … I love our team, and I love our roster, and I coach these guys, and I’m trying to build something incredibly competitive and enjoyable for our players and staff. That’s a question for someone in a different role.”
