Steve Nash: Kevin Durant is ‘historically unique,’ still has a ‘chapter to write’ in Brooklyn

Nets head coach Steve Nash hopes to further develop his longstanding relationship with Brooklyn superstar forward Kevin Durant.

Steve Nash all but confirmed Adam Harrington will stay on Brooklyn’s coaching staff while taking part in the Nets’ town hall event on Tuesday.

Harrington’s name came up because he was the one to introduce Nash to Kevin Durant — which happened before their time with the Golden State Warriors.

Paired together again, Brooklyn’s head coach continues to praise Durant for not only the player he is but also who the Nets superstar is as a person.

“He’s just a human being that I have a lot of love for and a lot of belief in, in the type of person he is and character he is. As far as a basketball player, he’s historically unique and impactful. He’s one of the all-time greats already, and he’s still got a chapter to write here.”

One staff move Nash did confirm during the town hall was that Amar’e Stoudemire has joined the Nets organization.
