After being drafted with the No. 2 overall pick by the Golden State Warriors in the 2020 NBA draft, James Wiseman’s first season in the association came to an end after just 39 games.
In April, Wiseman suffered a season-ending torn meniscus injury. The 20-year-old center underwent surgery to repair the injury in his right knee on April 15.
In an interview with Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr provided a positive update on Wiseman’s return to the court.
According to Kerr, Wiseman’s “on schedule for everything.” Following a rehab through the offseason, Wiseman could be back on the court with the Warriors during training camp.
