Steve Kerr, no matter the subject, is no stranger to voicing his opinion – and for that, he is revered across the league.
Today was no different, as the Warriors coach took to Twitter his express his feelings towards Senator Ted Cruz after the politician fled his home state of Texas. Amid a historic winter weather crisis which is affecting over 100 million people, leaving many without electricity, heat and water for an extended period, Cruz was photographed on a flight to Cancun, Mexico.

This afternoon wasn’t the first instance where Kerr went after Cruz. Following the U.S. Capitol riots on January 6th, Kerr, per usual, took his thoughts to the media before the Warriors game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Steve Kerr: "I wish that people like Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Josh Hawley had to do pregame media. It'd be great for them to answer the question: Are you happy now?"

Cruz has since said that his Cancun trip was a “mistake,” given the circumstances.
The winter storm in Texas has already affected the NBA season, forcing postponed games in both Dallas on Wednesday and a matchup in Houston between the Rockets and Mavericks on Friday.
Kerr’s tweet – “1, 2, 3 ‘CAN-CUN!'” – is a nod to the phrase that ‘Inside The NBA’ has made famous when a team is on the brink of elimination in the playoffs.
