Steph Curry’s elite jump shot is the definition of polish.
Along with all-time great shooters like Ray Allen and Reggie Miller, Curry is one of few who flicks the ball toward the rim the same way each time. His jumping motion and form remains consistent, and that’s because he works endlessly on his jumper.
According to ESPN’s Tim McManus, Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr recently spoke about Curry’s work ethic on a virtual call with the Philadelphia Eagles. Eagles defensive back Will Parks soaked in what Kerr told the team about Curry.
“The best example I took from him was, after practice [Warriors guard] Steph Curry takes a hundred shots. After a full practice,” Parks said. “That’s another thing, to be able to work hard after work and be able to dial in and dedicate even more time to your craft.”
Curry making sure he practices more than enough shots is an important part of his greatness. The muscle memory he creates with his practice enables him to release shots with ease. As one of the best shooters ever, Curry currently ranks third all-time in 3-pointers made (2,495) behind Allen and Miller.
