Stephon Castle addresses Spurs’ media for first time

The San Antonio Spurs rookie attended hist first news conference on June 29.

The San Antonio Spurs drafted Stephon Castle with the fourth pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. He enters the league as a 19-year-old guard coming off an impressive season with Dan Hurley’s UCONN Huskies. Castle will likely be tasked with improving his perimeter shooting and developing a partnership with Victor Wembanyama.

Fortunately for the rookie guard, he has a few months to work on his game and get advice from the Spurs coaching staff before the 2024-25 season begins and he is forced to face NBA-level talent. As such, he could make some significant improvements to his game before the new season.

Spurs fans got their first look at Castle on Saturday (June 29) as he attended his first news conference for the Spurs. He answered a string of questions from the media, showing good composure and a growth mindset.
