Steph Curry, Warriors prayed for Sixers’ Kelly Oubre Jr. after injury

Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors said a prayer for Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. after his injuries.

Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. suffered through a horrific event on Saturday when he was struck by a vehicle in Center City, Philadelphia. The incident left him with a rib fracture and injuries to his hip and right leg.

Oubre has received a great deal of love and support from not only the Sixers, but also from his peers.

Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry revealed he and the Dubs said a prayer for Oubre and a speedy recovery (h/t Warriors Wire):

It’s such a scary news to get. Thankfully, I think, from all accounts, he will be OK. Basketball aside, that’s a blessing. We said a prayer before the game before we went to the court. For his time here, it was only one year, but we just pray that he has a quick recovery. He’s got a beautiful family. It’s obviously bigger than basketball. … I hope he has a full recovery.

Oubre played for the Warriors in the 2020-21 season. Obviously, he left a big impact on the organization during his one season there to warrant the support from Curry and the rest of the team.
