One of the biggest free-agent decisions the Pittsburgh Steelers will have to face this offseason is what to do with wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster. Smith-Schuster is set to hit free agency in March and it is unclear if his contract demands will line up with what the Steelers will be able to offer.
Smith-Schuster talked about free agency during his four-hour Fortnite stream on Twitch Friday night. With literally thousands of concurrent viewers, you know Smith-Schuster was pelted with questions and comments about where he should play next season.
Typically during his streams, Smith-Schuster uses a skin that makes him look like himself. But Smith-Schuster had some fun with his subs on Friday and swapped it out for versions of himself as a member of the Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints.
Smith-Schuster’s 2020 season was a mixed bag. He finished with a solid 97 receptions and a career-high nine receiving touchdowns but only 831 yards and a career-low 8.6 yards per catch.
Market value for Smith-Schuster is all over the place and should have just enough unknown that the Steelers at least take a shot at bringing him back.
