Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson told the media on Monday that there were a lot more cars in the parking lot at the Steelers facility than usual for a Monday. Johnson said the team talked about the idea of getting into the building more after Sunday’s blowout loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
According to Johnson, players were encouraged to “watch film, work out, just do something.”
Forgive me if I don’t find this incredibly comforting. The fact that despite how poorly the team has played, it took 15 games for the players to decide to go ahead and come in an extra day and try to do a little more to prepare for the game.
This week the Steelers play their final home game of the season when they take on the Cleveland Browns. Despite how poorly the team has played, if the Steelers can find a way to win the next two weeks, they could sneak into the playoffs.
Diontae Johnson said there were more cars at the Steelers facility today: "We… talked to us in the locker room yesterday, basically saying we’ve got to get on our stuff, get in the facility in general, watch film, work out , just do something.:
