Signing Kaepernick is an action that went from being condemned to being commended. The man was ahead of his time, and now the world listens.

It would appear the NFL has come full circle on free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Kaepernick hasn’t thrown an NFL pass in more than three years but he’s the most talked-about player right now. With the coming paradigm shift across the league, many have talked about the return of Kaepernick to the NFL.
One player who seems to be strongly endorsing the return of Kaepernick is Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool. But is he thinking about Kaepernick as a Steeler?
Even being three years removed from the NFL, Kaepernick is a better option than Devlin Hodges or Paxton Lynch. Is he better than Mason Rudolph? This would be a matter of debate but training camp would show whether or not Kaepernick is still able to play.
From a PR perspective, the team that signs Kaepernick is going to have all the good and bad press they could ever want. Pittsburgh has followed a formula of having a young quarterback and an older veteran on the roster behind Ben Roethlisberger before. Maybe this season they bring it back.
