When the Pittsburgh Steelers square off against the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night, the Steelers defense will need another effort like last Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. Based on the Vikings Tuesday practice report, things might not be awful for the Steelers D this week.

Starting offensive tackle Christian Darrisaw and starting wide receiver Adam Thielen both missed Tuesday’s practice. These are excellent players who the Vikings need in the lineup. Much like the Steelers, the Vikings are thin at multiple spots with wide receiver and offensive tackle being near the top of the list.

The Vikings also saw running back Dalvin Cook limited on Tuesday. This issue seems less significant with the continued emergence of third-year running back Alexander Mattison back to full health. This isn’t to say Minnesota doesn’t want Cook back but on a short week, this one might not happen.
