According to NFL reporter Tom Pelissero, the hamstring injury suffered by Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth several weeks ago is going to keep him out of Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams. Originally there was talk of Freiermuth being ready to roll for the Week Seven showdown.
Pelissero said Freiermuth had an MRI on Friday morning and he isn’t healthy enough to go yet. Head coach Mike Tomlin had hinted earlier in the week that Freiermuth was the one injury the team had genuine concern over.

With Freiermuth out, expect to see more of rookie Darnell Washington along with Connor Heyward. The Steelers have been hesitant to feature the tight end much in the passing game with season with only 14 catches between the three of them.
