The Pittsburgh Steelers square off against the San Francisco 49ers in Week One of the NFL regular season. The Steelers finally get themselves a home game to start the year and it’s against one of the best teams in the NFC.
Training camp and the preseason have been busy for Pittsburgh on many levels. General Manager Omar Khan took over the team after the draft in 2022 and was quiet but his first full offseason in charge has been anything but.
Pittsburgh has rebuilt this roster in terms of weaknesses among the starters as well as bolstering the depth across the board. There isn’t a single positional unit on the Steelers you cannot say is better now than last season.
Meanwhile, the 49ers get their starting quarterback Brock Purdy back and hope to get back to the NFC title game. But San Francisco might be minus its two best players in EDGE Nick Bosa and tight end George Kittle. Will this be enough to let Pittsburgh pull off the home upset?
