Well all that talk about new starters for the Pittsburgh Steelers this week might have been for nothing. The Steelers put out the game status report for this week’s game against the Cleveland Browns and only have two players listed as out with no other designations.
Wide receiver Diontae Johnson and running back Anthony McFarland Jr. are both listed as out this week. Johnson suffered a hamstring injury in last week’s game and there’s no timeline for his return. McFarland is dealing with a knee injury that came out of nowhere so the Steelers will need to find a new kickoff returner.
Several other Steelers had been limited or out this week during practice but none of them are listed. This includes offensive tackle Chuks Okorafor who had a concussion and defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi who continues to deal with a foot injury.
One note is the addition of wide receiver George Pickens. The team has him listed as having a hamstring injury on Saturday’s report but has no designation for the game. This is one to keep a close eye on.
