Keep in mind, the NFL draft prospects we are going to speak on are only rumored to be the top options of the Pittsburgh Steelers. NFL draft reporter Tony Pauline spoke on Pittsburgh sports radio on Monday and he indicated that according to his sources, the Steelers have narrowed their top choices for the first-round pick to three players.

According to Pauline, Alabama running back Najee Harris, Oklahoma State offensive tackle Teven Jenkins and Alabama center Landon Dickerson are the team’s top options.

For the sake of argument, let’s say Pauline is right. Let’s take a closer look at all three prospects.

First up we have Harris. The former Alabama star is a fan favorite among Steelers fans and would be sure to make Steeler Nation very happy. There’s no denying the production Harris had in college and his physical gifts are truly rare among what is a loaded running back group.

Next up we have Jenkins. Like running back, offensive tackle is a very talented group. Jenkins, despite lacking idea measurables has a tremendous body of film and would give the Steelers a blocker with an edge, which they have missed.

Finally, there’s Dickerson. Easily the top center prospect in the draft but coming off of ACL surgery it isn’t clear if he will be ready to contribute as a rookie.

It is easy to pick all three prospects apart. Henry is older than ideal and could be the product of an elite offensive line. Jenkins doesn’t have the type of length you look for in a franchise tackle and will come into the league at 24 years old. As for Dickerson, we’ve already talked about the knee injury and those concerns.

But I want to pass the question off to you, the fans. If the Steelers go on the clock with the No. 24 overall pick and all three guys are on the board, who is your pick? Let us know in the comments below.
