The Pittsburgh Steelers are being quite thorough in its search for a new general manager. Aside from the two internal candidates, the Steelers have now interviewed or plan to interview six external candidates. The latest being Green Bay Packers co-director of player personnel John Wojciechowski.

Wojciechowski has been with the Packers since 2012 when he was hired as a pro scout. He then moved up to the role of director of player personnel in 2017. As ESPN NFL reporter pointed out, Wojciechowski has roots with the Steelers. From 1996 to 1997, Wojciechowski was a personnel assistant with Pittsburgh. This was his first job in the league.

Current Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert plans to step down after the 2022 NFL draft.
