When you are the new guy, it is important to make a good first impression. It sounds like new Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Eric Ebron has an excellent strategy for getting in good with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger according to an article by Aditi Kinkhabwala.
“If I could be Big Ben’s best friend, kind of like how it was with Andrew, I was always in his ear, in his pocket, just try to figure out the game through their lens,” Ebron said. “They’re elite minds at this level and it’s just, I just want to understand his language.”
One thing is certain if Ebron can show Big Ben he knows the offense and catches the football when it is thrown his way, Ebron is in for a big season. Ebron had his best season in 2018 when he caught 66 passes and 13 of them were for touchdowns. Pittsburgh would love to have this kind of production from their tight end position. Ebron and Vance McDonald playing well would allow the Steelers to return to those heavy two-tight end sets they were so successful with in previous years.
