On Monday, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced a pair of roster moves to their 90-man training camp roster. The team has signed free-agent wide receiver Javon McKinley and released defensive end Tyree Johnson to make room on the roster.
McKinley came into the league as an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame and was signed by the Detroit Lions. The addition of McKinley gives the Steelers a full wide receiver depth chart heading into preparation for the team’s first preseason game assuming no contract comes for Diontae Johnson and he continues his hold-in with the team.
