On Monday, the Pittsburgh Steelers continued the work of building their offseason roster. According to the NFL transaction wire, the Steelers signed wide receiver Anthony Miller to a reserve/futures contract.
Miller spent the bulk of the 2021 season on the Steelers practice squad. He only appeared on one game and caught one pass. As a former second-round pick you have to assume the Steelers see potential in him and with multiple wide receivers set to hit free agency, Miller could be an insurance policy for the upcoming season.
JuJu Smith-Schuster, Ray-Ray McCloud and James Washington are all set to be free agents and a case can be made for each one to move on in free agency.
A couple notable reserve/futures signings on today's wire: The #Steelers re-signed WR Anthony Miller, while the #Saints re-signed RB Josh Adams.
