On Wednesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced a handful of practice squad roster moves. The main one being the addition of punter Drue Chrisman to the practice squad.
Chrisman’s college career was at Ohio State where he averaged 44.6 yards per punt over the span of 21 games and two seasons. He was signed originally by the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2021 and he has been on and off of their practice squad.
This was likely in response to the struggles by starting punter Pressley Harvin III in recent weeks. The Steelers also signed long snapper Rex Sunahara to the practice squad.
To make room for both guys, Pittsburgh terminated the contracts of defensive backs Linden Stephens and wide receiver Tyler Vaughns.
