Steelers QB Kenny Pickett on his performance on Sunday: ‘Highest of highs and lowest of lows’

Kenny Pickett didn’t look good for most of Sunday’s win but he made the plays late when the team needed them most.

Over the course of three hours on Sunday, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett showed the very worst of his game and the very best all at the same time. Pickett finished with a modest 224 passing yards and one touchdown and after struggling for much of the game, saved the best for last.

After the game, Pickett talked about the emotions of such and up-and-down game and made sure to note how important it was for him that the fans stuck with them down the stretch. Pickett said he also hopes this late-game performance can be a spark for the team going forward.

Pickett’s late 41-yard touchdown pass to Pickens gave the Steelers their first lead of the game with only 2:09 seconds left. The Pickett to Pickens connection was strong with Pickens hauling in six passes for 130 yards. The Steelers now have a week off to reset themselves, make some adjustments and hopefully carry this momentum into the rest of the season.
