Steelers legend named Pro Football Hall of Fame finalist

Big news on the Pro Football Hall of Fame for the Steelers.

For Pittsburgh Steelers fans, this one is long overdue. But thankfully the Pro Football Hall of Fame has finally done the right thing and named former sports writer and Steelers scout Bill Nunn a finalist for the 2021 class of the HOF.

Nunn was the Steelers assistant personnel director from 1970-1987. He’s the man credited with those great Steelers drafts in the early 1970s that helped build the dynasty and netted the team four Super Bowls in the decade. Nunn was the man who found defensive tackle Joe Greene, the greatest player in franchise history.

From 1987-2014 Nunn was a scout for the Steelers has been on the staff for six Super Bowl championships with Pittsburgh. Nunn died in May of 2014.
