If you are like me and you fell in love with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 1970s, thank Bill Nunn. The Pro Football Hall of Fame finally recognized the impact Nunn had on one of the greatest dynasties in NFL history by naming him to the 2021 class of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Nunn was the architect of some of the greatest NFL draft classes in league history. Nunn had a knack for finding players other teams didn’t know about including defensive tackle Joe Greene.

For 44 seasons, Nunn was a part of the Steelers personnel and scouting department. He scouted for the team for six Super Bowl championships. Nunn found his way to the NFL from journalism where his keen eye for talent, particularly from historically black colleges and universities gave him an edge over other personnel experts.
