Steelers LB T.J. Watt takes brutal knee to the head on opening drive

T.J. Watt took a huge hit to start the game.

The last thing the Pittsburgh Steelers needed was to have to deal with more injuries. But on the opening drive against the New England Patriots, outside linebacker T.J. Watt took a huge knee to the head making a tackle on Patriots running back Ezekiel Elliott that forced him out of the game.

Watt has since come back in but he’s been in and out of the lineup and in the medical tent as the team continued evaluation of his injury. Watt definitely isn’t playing like he’s 100 percent but as long as he can play, you know he will stay out there. The Steelers deactivated outside linebacker Markus Golden for this game so Pittsburgh is very thin at the position.
