Last season a case could be made that Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt was a serious snub for Defensive Player of the Year. This season he is well on his way to being a frontrunner again.
Pro Football Focus sent out data on their three highest-graded players through three games and sandwiched in between Green Bay Packers Aaron Rodgers and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is Watt.
Through three games, Watt has nine tackles, 3.5 sacks, five tackles for loss, 10 quarterback hits, one interception and two passes defended. It really doesn’t matter what the Steelers ask Watt to do, he does it at an elite level.
