Specifically: It’s a 2022 6th round pick going to the #Jaguars for Schobert. https://t.co/tdDHY7MSx7

NFL reporter Ian Rapoport had reported on Friday that the Steelers were giving up late-round draft compensation to acquire Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Joe Schobert.
Rapoport has come back and specified that the Steelers are giving up a 2022 sixth-round pick for Schobert.
In terms of draft capital, this is a bargain. Critics will point to Schobert having a down 2020 season as him falling off as a player. But I don’t think you can overlook the fact he was stuck on the worst team in the NFL. When Schobert was with an above-average Browns defense he was one of the top coverage linebackers in the NFL and racked up huge tackle numbers. The Steelers are banking on a return to form as part of one of the best defenses in the NFL.
