On Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers brought in free agent Kyron Johnson for a visit. Before you ask, no Johnson isn’t a punter. Nor is he a defensive lineman. Johnson is a free-agent linebacker.
Johnson played his college football at the University of Kansas and was a sixth-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022. Johnson is currently on the Eagles practice squad.
What does this visit mean? It’s hard to say unless there is an injury that head coach Mike Tomlin hasn’t disclosed. The Steelers need to come up with a plan to replace defensive tackle Cam Heyward in the starting lineup for the foreseeable future and most fans are hoping Pittsburgh makes a change at punter this week.

The Steelers lost to the San Francisco 49ers 30-7 on Sunday and had a dreadful performance. Now the Steelers have to turn around and prepare to take on the 1-0 Cleveland Browns in Pittsburgh on Monday Night Football.
