I think everyone knew the Pittsburgh Steelers were going to be better this season. The return of Ben Roethlisberger at quarterback was supposed to be the catalyst this team needed to be a playoff contender. Through six games it has been much more than that.
The Steelers are 6-0 and the last undefeated team in the NFL. They have found balance on offense and the defense continues to set the tone. Our friends over at Touchdown Wire have updated their NFL power rankings and for the second straight week, the Steelers are on top.
Pittsburgh came out and beat a then-undefeated Tennessee Titans team on Sunday. The win wasn’t pretty but the first half really showed what the Steelers are capable of when everything is going right.
This week the Steelers get to prove themselves again when they travel to Baltimore and take on the 5-1 Ravens. If they can pull off a second road upset in as many weeks it should cement their status as the top team in the NFL.
