The #Steelers have hired Matt Canada as their QB coach. Several NFL Clubs have consulted Canada over the past year or so, including this season, about incorporating his offensive concepts. Pittsburgh decides to just hire the former #LSU and Maryland OC.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have made a coaching move. No, not that coaching move. Pittsburgh has added a quarterbacks coach and according to multiple sources it is former Maryland offensive coordinator Matt Canada.
Canada has a long coaching resume but nothing really stands out. He’s shuffled between multiple offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach positions over the last two decades. He didn’t coach at all in 2019 but will join a Steelers team who struggled mightily on offense last season. This was due in part to offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner who also tried to coach the quarterbacks. Hopefully Canada can help lighten the load and bring in some more effective offensive concepts.
