Steelers HC Mike Tomlin with brutal honesty after loss: ‘We’re playing losing football’

Mike Tomlin sounded like a defeated man after Saturday’s loss.

Saturday night was an All-Time low for Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin. The 30-13 loss to the Indianapolis Colts wasn’t the largest margin of defeat and this wasn’t even the first three-game losing streak. But it was the manner in which the Steelers seemed to just lay down and give up against the Colts that really makes you wonder if this team is done and has been done for a while.

After the game, Tomlin summed it up with as much honesty as we’ve seen from him during this debacle of a season. Tomlin in his postgame press conference sounded like a man who was defeated and while he was more than willing to take responsibility for the loss, you could tell by his tone he was genuinely aghast by just how poorly his team executed.

The whole collapse was even more surprising when you consider Pittsburgh found themselves up 13-0 in the first half. But it perfectly illustrates this team just doesn’t know how to win and the coaches didn’t either.
