Over the weekend, ESPN decided to give Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett an opportunity to reiterate his allegations that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph used a racial slur at him during their altercation last season where Garrett bludgeoned Rudolph on the head with Rudolph’s helmet.
This didn’t sit well with Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and where better to air his concerns than back on ESPN. Tomlin went on First Take and make it clear his support for Rudolph and his problems with not only Garrett’s assertion but how ESPN gave him a forum to bring it up again.
It was great to see Tomlin break the whole incident down and why he doesn’t buy Garrett’s story. It’s tremendous to see Tomlin go to bat for his players like this.
