After the Pittsburgh Steelers blowout loss to the Houston Texans, head coach Mike Tomlin offered up his usual non-answers to the question about the same problems that have gone uncorrected for years. But maybe he did offer a glimmer of hope for some change on the horizon.
When asked at the very end of his postgame press conference if he planned on there being changes, he was quite definitive. “Hell yeah there’s going to be changes,” Tomlin said.
Before anyone gets too excited, this might not mean what you think it means. This might mean nothing more than just playing better. The change may not mean personnel changes and it almost definitely doesn’t mean coaching changes.
With Sunday’s loss, the Steelers fall to 2-2 on the season. The Steelers have been outscored 100-62 through those four games with no end in sight to this trend.
