There was a time not too long ago when Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was in the discussion as the best head coach in the NFL. But recent struggles have cooled the league on Tomlin and his ability to get his teams ready to perform in big games.

BetMGM put out their odds for NFL Coach of the Year and it wasn’t a shock that Tomlin wasn’t a frontrunner. However, it did come as something of a shock to see Tomlin as a 35/1 long shot.

For his career, Tomlin has the best winning percentage of the Steelers Big 3 head coaches. But an 8-8 playoff record and only three playoff wins in the past decade cannot be overlooked.

The favorite for Coach of the Year is last year’s winner, Kevin Stefanski. Stefanski’s Cleveland Browns beat the Steelers 48-37 in the first round of the playoffs before losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round.
