Former Los Angeles Chargers defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko is being signed from the practice squad to the active 53-man roster, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. He’s a nose tackle in the Pittsburgh Steelers scheme, where Montravius Adams and rookie Keeanu Benton currently play.

Fehoko’s forte is run-stopping, an area where the Steelers have struggled mightily through two weeks. The defense is dead last against the run, allowing 193 yards per game for a 5.6 average.
The Steelers signed Fehoko, 26, to a one-year contract in April, released him on roster cutdown day and signed him to the practice squad on August 30.
In three seasons with the Chargers, he had played in 23 games, starting 12, and has 36 career tackles, including 15 solo tackles in three seasons with the Chargers who signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2020.
