'I want to be a game wrecker.' – @_TJWatt
— Teresa Varley (@Teresa_Varley) August 25, 2020
Last season, Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt put on quite a show. We already knew Watt was a star after he put up 13 sacks in 2018 to go along with 68 tackles and six forced fumbles.
But as an encore, Watt went for 14.5 sacks and eight forced fumbles and 55 tackles in 2019. But this season he’s set a new goal for himself. He wants to be a “game wrecker.”
Watt is one of the top best players on the best defense in the NFL. He, along with safety Minkah Fitzpatrick form what is probably the most dynamic pair of players on any defense in the NFL.
Watt said when he spoke to the media he didn’t care who makes plays for the Steelers as long as they are making plays. Watt and the rest of the Steelers’ defense has to be excited about the prospect of an offense in 2020 which might actually keep pace with the defense. This unit carried the team to 8-8 last season while the offense did very little to help the cause.
What are your predictions for Watt’s stats in 2020? We are looking at 17.5 sacks and the frontrunner for the Defensive Player of the Year.
