For the second time in three years, Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Cam Heyward has been named a first-team Associated Press All-Pro. Watt joins teammates linebacker T.J. Watt and safety Minkah Fitzpatrick as first-team representatives.
Heyward was once again one of the most consistent and productive players on the defense for the third straight season. Heyward’s nine sacks in 2019 are his second-best of his career and his 83 total tackles crushed his career-high. To get more than 80 tackles while playing primarily at defensive tackle is a rare feat.
Heyward was the leader of one of the best all-around defenses in the league last season. His impact and continued development was a real catalyst for how well the Steelers played in 2019.
