The Pittsburgh Steelers were forced to start the season without one of its best defenders as defensive end Stephon Tuitt began the season on the Injured/Reserve List. Tuitt’s entire offseason has been something of a nightmare between a lingering injury and the loss of his brother, so it’s not likely football is his top priority right now.

But according to teammate Cam Heyward, his team thinks he’s going to be able to come back and play this season. Heyward spoke to the media and honestly he came across as cautiously optimistic that Tuitt will be able to play this season.

The team certainly didn’t look like it missed him last week against the Buffalo Bills. Nevertheless, Tuitt was arguably the team’s best defensive lineman last season so you can never undersell how much better this group is when No. 91 is on the field.
