Friday night was supposed to be the return to tradition. After two years without it, the Pittsburgh Steelers were coming back to Friday Night Lights to training camp in Latrobe. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans and the team was forced to cancel practice, which is always heavily attended by the fan base.

Steelers defensive tackle Cam Heyward took to Twitter to apologize to fans for the cancellation and said the team can’t wait to be out there with the fans again. Many Steelers fans took to social media Friday night into Saturday livid about the change, noting how far many traveled, many taking off of work just to attend.

Saturday’s public practice also had to be canceled due to the weather and was moved indoors at the UPMC Rooney complex instead and will be closed to the public.

Let us know in the comments if you were planning to go to Friday Night Lights and how far you were coming in from.
