The Pittsburgh Steelers defense was struck a blow this offseason when defensive tackle Javon Hargrave signed a free-agent contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. Pittsburgh didn’t go to great lengths to replace Hargrave but they did add former Baltimore Raven Chris Wormley in free agency to fill out the depth chart.
Defensive line coach Karl Dunbar spoke to the media on Monday he noted that Wormley has been dealing with a lower leg injury during the early portion of camp. No specifics about how much time he’s missed to this point but the Steelers are fortunate to have solid depth at defensive line and aren’t in a position to rush Wormley into the rotation.
