On yet another day when the Pittsburgh Steelers offense couldn’t get anything going, the defense stepped up huge and helped pull on a massive home 19-13 win over the Tennessee Titans.
The win was on the backs of the Steelers defense creating 4 turnovers in the game and some huge individual plays by the Steelers top defenders. Tennesse was able to move the football, especially on the ground but when Pittsburgh needed to get the ball back, they found a way through three fumbles and an interception.
This is a huge win for Pittsburgh as it extends their record to 7-6-1 and keeps them in the playoff hunt. But the team must find a way to get the football into the end zone with some consistency. Thankfully kicker Chris Boswell continues to be the team’s best scoring option as he accounted for 13 of the Steelers 19 points.
Pittsburgh has no time to sit and enjoy this one because they now have to prepare to travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs the day after Christmas.
