Steelers conduct 2nd interview wtih Andy Weidl for GM vacancy

The Steelers hunt for a new general manager continues.

The Pittsburgh Steelers search for a new general manager continues. The team announced on Wednesday the franchise has held a second-round interview with Philadelphia Eagles vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl.

Weidl has been the Eagles VP of player personnel for the last two seasons and worked for the team since 2016. Weidl has 25 years of experience in the league in some capacity, starting as a scout.

Weidl’s first job in the NFL was actually with the Steelers when he was a scout from 1998 to 1999 where he worked under then-GM Tom Donahoe and the legend Bill Nunn.
