Steelers announce signings of multiple players to bolster depth

Steelers announce several signings on Thursday.

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced multiple signings on Thursday. According to the team, defensive back Breon Border, offensive tackle Anthony Coyle, center John Keenoy and defensive back Arrion Springs have all signed contracts with the Steelers.

Borders is entering his fourth NFL season. He’s played for the Washington Redskins, Las Vegas Raiders and Jacksonville Jaguars. Borders played his college ball at Duke

Coyle played college football at Fordham. He came into the league in 2019 as an undrafted free agent and spent time on the practice squads of the Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers.

Keenoy is another former XFL player who spent time with the Dallas Renegades. He originally signed with the Minnesota Vikings in 2019 as an UDFA out of Western Michigan.

Springs is the most traveled of all this batch of signings. In just one year, Springs spent time on the practice squads of the Chiefs, Browns, Saints, Raiders and Chargers. He was also in the XFL having been on the Tampa Bay Vipers and Los Angeles Wildcats.
