The Pittsburgh Steelers have added some depth at safety. Agent David Canter shared on Twitter that his client, Keanu Neal has agreed to terms with the Steelers on a two-year contract. Neal last played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Neal is a former first-round pick of the Atlanta Falcons back in 2016. His career got off to a hot start. He started 30 games in his first two seasons and racked up 222 tackles during that stretch. But injuries caught up to him and he struggled to stay on the field. He did stay healthy long enough in 2020 when he started 14 games and had another 100-tackle season.
We will dig more into how much Neal may or may not have left in the tank and how he will be able to contribute. Neal was signed to help fill the void left by Terrell Edmunds moving on and signing with the Philadelphia Eagles.
