When the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Cincinnati Bengals this weekend, they won’t have to do it without their starting quarterback. As expected, Ben Roethlisberger, Vince Williams, Jerald Hawkins and Jaylen Samuels were all activated off of the Reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday morning.
The expectation is the Steelers will have an extended Saturday walkthrough, something more akin to their Friday practice just to fine-tune some things with Roethlisberger back in the fold.
One player who will not be coming off the COVID list this week is tight end Vance McDonald who tested positive. The other players involved in this were only placed on the list due to exposure with McDonald.
Another situation to monitor for this week is the status of running back Anthony McFarland and guard Kevin Dotson. Both players missed Friday practice with an illness designation but no details beyond that.
