Start time for Florida-Kentucky college football Week 8 announced

Make it three straight night games for the Gators when they host the Kentucky Wildcats in two weekends.

The Southeastern Conference announced the start time for Week 8’s college football matchup between the Florida Gators and Kentucky Wildcats inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The game is set to kick off at 7:45 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 19.

The late start represents the third-straight night game the Orange and Blue have played this fall starting with the UCF Knights at home last weekend and the Tennessee Volunteers this coming weekend in Knoxville.

The two schools have played 74 times prior dating back to 1917, with Florida owning a 53-21 overall record in the all-time series. At one point, the Gators had won 31 straight against the Bluegrass State boys but the tables have turned recently, with Kentucky winning four of the last six meetings and three straight.

Next up for Florida

The Gators head north next weekend to face the Vols. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. ET and the game will be broadcast on ESPN.
