In the NBA of today, capable wings who defend with the same intensity they score are the most sought player type — for good reason.
Such stars as Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum power modern clubs on both ends of the floor, and contenders need at least one to have a shot at winning it all.
At a more granular level, the variety of skill, athleticism and experience among various star wings in the league differ — and will do better or worse in certain contexts as well.
